Glasgow Caledonian University signs up to the EmilyTest Charter

We are delighted to welcome Glasgow Caledonian University who are now working towards our GBV Charter!

Fiona Drouet visited Glasgow Caledonian this week to share Emily’s Story and launch the University’s work towards achieving the charter. Fiona Drouet said:

“I am delighted to see Glasgow Caledonian University progress to taking the Emily test. My work with GCU on gender-based violence predates the creation of the charity, shaped by early engagement with staff who were consistently professional and transparent, and who understood that openness and honesty are essential to achieving meaningful change.?This includes its leadership in establishing the Fearless Glasgow collaboration, bringing universities and colleges across the city together to drive collective action. “Their commitment to the charter assessment process evidences GCU’s determination to drive forward meaningful, ongoing improvement and to strengthen prevention, intervention and support for all students and staff and we are delighted to be working with them.”

Fiona Campbell, Vice-Principal People and Student Wellbeing, said:

“We were delighted to welcome Fiona to the University and learn more about Emily and about how we can work together to support any student who faces gender-based violence. Glasgow Caledonian is committed to creating a safe and inclusive campus environment and we look forward to working with the charity to further enhance the support we can offer.”
