Today marks the beginning of Sexual Abuse and Sexual Violence Awareness Week 2026.
While awareness weeks like these create space for important conversations and progress, sexual abuse and sexual violence do not exist within a single week. These harms can happen to anyone, and the impacts are ongoing - so our commitment to supporting victim/survivors must continue.
